E Equity Tax Calc

Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-11-04

1. What this site is

This site provides free, browser-based calculators that estimate US federal tax outcomes for equity compensation. It is an educational tool. It is not a tax preparer, a law firm, a financial adviser, or a fiduciary, and no client relationship is created by using it.

2. No tax, legal or investment advice

Results are estimates produced from the inputs you provide and the federal rules in effect for tax year 2026. They ignore deductions, credits, state rules (except a flat rate you enter), the net investment income tax, prior-year carryforwards and your plan documents. Do not file a return, exercise an option, or make an investment decision on the strength of a figure from this site alone. Consult a licensed professional.

3. Accuracy and updates

Constants are taken from the IRS publications and statutes cited on the methodology page. Tax law changes, and publications are revised. We aim to keep every page current for the stated tax year, but we make no warranty that a page reflects the latest guidance at the moment you read it.

4. Acceptable use

5. Intellectual property

The text, layout, code and design of this site are owned by its operator and protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. Tax rates, statutory thresholds and formulas are not copyrightable.

6. Third-party advertising

Advertising is served by Google. We do not control which advertisers appear, and an advertisement is not an endorsement. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any tax, penalty, interest or investment loss, arising from use of the site or reliance on its results.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated; the revision date appears above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
