The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The values you type are never transmitted, stored or logged by us. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no analytics that identify you personally. The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us by email, and we use it to answer you and nothing else.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.

Where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), a Google-certified consent management platform collects your consent before personalized ads are served, and non-personalized ads are used if consent is refused.

We do not set first-party tracking cookies, and we do not run a third-party analytics product.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention, retained for a short period and never combined with calculator inputs.
Third-party links
Pages here link to external sites (IRS publications, Google, opt-out tools) that have their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for what those sites collect or how they use it.
Selling and sharing your data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The calculators send us nothing. Advertising cookies described above are set by Google and its partners, not by us, and you can opt out of them at any time. If you email us, we disclose that message only where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or opt out of targeted advertising. Because we hold no personal data of yours beyond server logs, most requests can be satisfied by clearing cookies and using the opt-outs above. You may also contact us at privacy@equitytaxcalc.com.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing their own compensation and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
